Directory Listing Policy
In order for Saint Paul and Suburban Area Intergroup to meet its responsibility to Alcoholics Anonymous as a whole, and the AA community we serve, the following will be the criteria we will utilize to determine whether to list a group requesting us to do so:
- They are an AA group - composed for the purpose of sobriety - having no other affiliations.
- That the group utilizes AA Conference Approved literature to communicate the AA program to new members.
- That it meets in a space publicly accessible - not a private home.
- That any AA literature utilized (The Twelve Steps, et cetera) is not modified in any way (See: Modified Meeting Readings).
We believe that these criteria will help ensure that each new person who comes to Alcoholics Anonymous, through the utilization of our Directory Listing, will meet with a safe & consistent message regarding the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
